Class A2 is the most popular entry class from age 18: motorcycles up to 35kW, enough power for most machines and still with a safety net. You will find advice and registration at Ostwall 224.
Do I need A1 first?
No, A2 works directly from 18
Without prior A1 the training runs just like A1: 12 double lessons of theory on the basics plus 4 specific to two-wheelers, the mandatory drives with 5 country-road, 4 motorway and 3 night drives and 30 theory questions.
With two years of A1 it is easier
If you have held A1 for at least two years, you move up without training and without a theory test. The practical test remains: it lasts at least 60 minutes when moving up, otherwise at least 70 minutes.

Honda CB 500F
You learn on the Honda CB 500F, our school motorcycle for Class A2. We tell you at registration whether you need to bring your own protective gear.
The limits of Class A2
35kW is enough power for most machines. To be precise, the machine may deliver at most 35kW, have at most 0.2kW per kg of weight and not be derived from a motorcycle with more than 70kW. If you want more later, you move up to Class A after two years: without new training and without a theory test, only with the practical test.
